How to Measure Yourself Correctly
Follow these steps to take your measurements accurately before choosing your shapewear size.
1) Get Ready
Wear light clothing or underwear. Stand straight with feet shoulder-width apart and breathe normally. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.
2) Waist
Locate the narrowest part of your torso (above the belly button and below the ribs). Wrap the tape without tightening, exhale gently, and take the measurement.
3) Hip
Measure the widest part of your hips, going around the fullest area of the glutes. Make sure the tape does not ride up or down on your back.
4) Double-Check
Repeat each measurement 2–3 times and write down the average. Record them in centimeters (and in inches if needed).
Tips
- Keep the tape snug against your skin — not loose, not tight.
- If you're between two sizes, choose based on the level of control you prefer.
- Use a mirror or ask for help to keep the tape aligned correctly.
Common Mistakes
- Measuring over thick clothing or with a twisted tape.
- Holding in your stomach when measuring the waist.
- Measuring the hip above the fullest point.
Important: take your body measurements and then use the size calculator to choose the correct size.
